What will you learn?
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:
-
Knowledge Development ( online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
-
Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
-
Four Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!
You may be able to get college credit for the Open Water Diver course.
How can you start learning now?
You can start learning with PADI’s home-study materials, the Open Water Diver Manual and Open Water Diver Video. Give us a call today to enroll in the course and get your materials. Your PADI Instructor will schedule time with you to check your progress and make sure you understand important scuba diving information.
Our Courses
We promise to give you the most educational scuba diving experience possible. We won't rush you through the pool skills all in one day. We conduct our pool sessions over 2-3 days with 8-12 hours of training. If a student needs extra time in the pool to master skills we will arrange additional sessions at no extra charge.
We start with an orientation to complete paperwork, fit you for rental gear, and go over the details of the course. We'll meet for 2 classroom sessions to review your knowledge reviews and take quizzes, then you'll meet 2-3 times for pool training. Next the fun begins. You'll complete 3 dives from a boat at either Catalina or Anacapa Island and a shore dive at one of our local beaches.
Course includes:
-
Tuition
-
PADI Open Water Diver eLearning code
-
One dive boat trip with air fills
-
PADI Open Water Diver certification card
-
Scuba gear rentals
Cost: $799
Students must furnish their own scuba quality mask, snorkel, fins, dive boots and gloves. All of this can be purchased through us at a discounted cost.
